The backpack is what you see in the photos. I originally got the larger one because I have a laptop that measures 17" (15" screen). The large bag was a bit too big for me and there was more than enough room for the laptop. The USB port also didn't work so I exchanged it for the smaller one. My laptop just about fits in the sleeve and there's plenty of room if you just put it in the large compartment. Here are some issues though:If you use the USB port, you can't put anything in that side pocket. No idea why they would put it there but the pocket becomes useless which for me makes the USB port next to useless as I would like to put the phone in there while charging. The USB port on the smaller bag did work this time though it's really hard to put the cable in.Next, the side pockets are way too tight with no elastic. You can't really fit much in them when the bag has books etc in it - your phone maybe (as long as you're not charging it with the USB port!) But water bottles or umbrellas don't fit and that's usually what I use them for. The larger bag had roomier side pockets - probably because there is more room inside for books, so if that's important, get the larger bag.Last, these aren't really issues but things I would like to see in a bag. I'd love to see a slot on the front of the strap to put a card like a metro card or student card etc for easy access. I would have also liked to have a hook for keys somewhere. Also, reinforcement on the bottom of the bag would be nice so that water doesn't seep through if you put it down on a wet sidewalk.Overall, a nice bag and it has more pockets than other backpacks on Amazon that look almost exactly the same (there are tons out there, just with different labels...) but I don't know why no one tested out these issues and fixed them at some point...at this price though, I'm going to make do.This bag has lots of pockets and is made of an easy to clean fabric. The side pockets are too small for a 24 oz or larger water bottle but, could be handy for a phone or pack of tissues. We like the cushion in the laptop sleeve. Works well for middle school or high school students that need to carry laptop and books.Muy espacioso, el color me gustó mucho. But I decided to go for it and I’m glad I did. The backpack is shockingly high quality for the price and it is pretty spacious and comfy. I note that the water bottle pockets are not big enough to actually hold any kind of water bottle but other than that it is great!Easy to use. Has pocket for computer and other items. Very good productI bought this for my wife along with another couple of options to replace her current/busted backpack. This one arrived first and she was absolutely wild about:1. The color - we got the greenish-blue color, and with the contrasting brown straps and accents, it is just a very handsome bag.2. The amount of storage - she liked how much stuff you could fit into the bag, but in the end, decided that this one would work better for her as an overnight bag instead of a day-to-day carry bag.3. Variety of storage pockets - there are tons of places to put all your bits and bobs4. High tech features - the integrated spot for a battery is very innovative. Using the external plug gets in the way of the side pocket, but it doesn't keep the pocket from being usable.In the end, my 7-year-old daughter fought to get this one for herself even though it looks a little more grown up than her current school backpack that has a large air-brushed picture of a unicorn on it, but she looks adorable running around like a little bohemian princess with her backpack on.This backpack looks super nice and is really good quality for the price. It looks cute with all my outfits. It has a spot for your laptop and still plenty of room for your books/notebooks. It has 4 total zipper locations and they are all appropriately sized and positioned. It can hold a lot of things, I mainly use it for school. The bottle holders can hold generic plastic water bottles, I have a small hydro flask and it barely fits, they stretch a little bit. It has not rained since I got it so I am not sure how waterproof it is, it looks more like it repels water. I haven’t used the little outlet cable on it yet but it looks neat.
