The aero shape of this thing does, in fact, work great for making the backpack not catch the wind. Other backpacks I've got and tried tend to act almost like a parachute and pull on you badly at times, especially with crosswinds from the side on the highway. With this, especially if you don't have a ton of heavy stuff in it, you literally can forget it's on your back after awhile. There's also very minimal stuff hanging off the bag, so there's not a slew of straps and things flapping around in the breeze to make noise or whip against you or anything - a "tactical" pack I was previously using would about beat me to death with all the hangy-offy strappy thingies on it.This bag does have a fairly limited amount of space to work with due to its shape, which was kinda expected. Without using the expansion feature, I can fit a small lunch bag, my uniform pants, and my uniform shirt in here ... and that's it. You can maybe slip a few thin things into the semi-useful pocket on the opening flap, but doing so makes that stick out enough that it limits what else you can put into the main compartment and/or it makes the back of the pack jut out and dig into your back. Works super slick for carrying a few original-cased DVD's and such, though, and even keeps papers from getting all wrinkled up. Forget the shoe loop things inside, unless you're carrying ballerina slippers, because you won't have room for anything else.If you unzip the expansion, you can get a lot more stuff in there, but at the cost of making the bag a bit uncomfortable against your bag (the shape feels weird against your back then) and it sticks out farther, meaning it catches more wind and can pull you around. Good feature to have, however, for lower-speed trips, like around town at 45 MPH and slower. The straps aren't really padded and can kinda dig into your shoulders depending upon what you're wearing, but they do seem to be made of pretty durable material, so they're not going to snag upon things or rip like those mesh-lined shoulder straps that most backpacks use nowadays. The waist strap is removable and can additionally stabilize your pack, but I've never found it to be necessary beyond the shoulder straps and the chest clasp, which already do a great job of distributing the load and keeping it secure, so I just removed it and stashed it away. Be aware that the adjustment on the shoulder straps is limited and, while I'm not a big guy at all, the center clasp maxes out adjustment pretty easily. If you're a big person, either broad-shouldered or fluffy, then this bag likely won't fit you, especially if you're wearing a riding jacket of any kind. I'm a medium-sized fella, and with most of my riding jackets (particularly my winter leather), the shoulder straps are almost at their limits of adjustment.FWIW, I disregard the rain cover because I never (voluntarily) ride in the rain; instead, I use the little storage pocket for for the cover for a multi-tool and flashlight in case of emergencies and such.Yes, I know this bag is a blatant rip-off of a certain name brand - so much so that it even has the logo of that brand on the bag (but not the actual brand NAME printed anywhere) - but their stuff is made in China as well, anyhow, and that name brand bag is like 3x more expensive than it should be in the first place solely because they like to charge people extra for their branding. Having compared this to the real deal side-by-side at a local store, I can't really see any obviously big differences between the two that justify the "real" one costing 3x more, so this is appropriately priced for what it is and is an EXCELLENT bag for commuting and around-town duties. The fact that the zipper for the bag is against your bag is also a BIG plus in terms of security, so this might even work good for folks wanting a backpack that some pickpocket can't just easily dig around inside while you have your back turned to them. Y'know, at college or public events or the park or whatever.UPDATE (09/09/19): Lowering the rating to 3 stars now. After a few months of gentle but frequent use, both straps started coming apart where the nylon webbing strap attaches to the lower part of the shoulder straps - the material was just completely disintegrating. I worried that one of the straps would potentially let go while traveling at highway speeds, which could slip off halfway and shift my weight unexpectedly - VERY unsafe - so I wound up giving it away. Instead of running the stitches for those connecting points all the way through the shoulder straps, it only was stitched into the outer layer, which was what started to simply shred itself. Only carried my uniform shirt/pants and a small lunch bag with two 20-ounce bottles of water and a sandwich container, sometimes an extra 32-ounce water bottle, so I was by no means overloading the bag with anything super heavy. VERY disappointing, because up until then, I was really loving this backpack. Comparing this to the name-brand version, the stitching on the name-brand one is much more secure and less likely to come apart, so perhaps that's where the compromise lies. Buy the name brand if you want it to hold up over time; buy this knockoff if you don't plan to use it often or if you're okay with buying a new one every few months. It is a comfortable backpack as long as you don't overload it. A helmet fits into it with a jacket but it feels tight and uncomfortable barely being able to get the straps onto your shoulders. It seems sturdy and well built. I'd recommend it if you're not needing it for large loads or carrying an extra helmet on a longer ride.I love everything about this backpack except I wish the strap adjuments we're longer. It's a little hard to get it on with my leather jacket. It gets caught on the edge of the sleeve and the elbow puck. If the straps were 6-9 inches longer it would make it a lot easier. Or if the adjustment straps were wider/ stiffer so that they held position better. All in all it is a great backpack and I only have that one small issue with it.This bag is an obvious knock-off of the OGIO Mach 5 motorcycle bag. The look is exactly what i wanted at only a fraction of the price. The OGIO Bag being over $200 was expected to have better quality but I figured i could save some money & get some good value outta this bag hopefully for a few riding seasons. It lasted almost 2yrs as i ordered mine May 2020 & had to finally lay it to rest today July 2022. The pics might suggest it’s a horrible bag but it wasn’t all bad. The first annoying thing to go was the bag handle, that threading was pretty weak & busted within a month or 2. I could live with that. Then the laptop pocket edge started to fray about 6 months in. I lived with that. The bottom pocket started to go about a yr in. I used it as my riding bag and my daily gym/work bag so it got tons of use daily. The final straw was the zipper track breaking so that both zippers that seal the main compartment became useless. So for at least a quarter of the cost of the brand name bag this bag was functional although not very sturdy or durable. If your like me you can still find value in things until the wheels fall off. 2 years is all i hoped for when i bought it. Now I’m in a position to get the more meticulously crafted (& expensive) bag but i expect it’ll hold up a lot better & hopefully longer.Excelente producto, servicio y calidadI wanted a backpack for the gym so I could put my helmet in it. It fits only that which is fine. I carry my workout stuff then take it out and put my helmet in. I like how it just expands. I am not sure about all the straps I use this as a backpack, I have not yet put it on my 3 wheeler, I have a can am Ryker so it would have to get tied down to my Max mount. I also like that it came with a lock that you can program. It is also very light and I like that. There is an outside pocket with heavy duty velcro which is convenient for your wallet, there is also another zippered pocket on the inside. The ties on the inside are good for clothes and such but not to go over the helmet. So far so good. I do wish it had a chest strap but I am sure I can figure something out with all these straps, lolI love the all around design of the bag. It's comfortable, however the strap that goes across the chest broke within the first month of use. Other than that the backpack is great. My son uses it when he rides his motorcycle to work he’s had many compliments from strangers/coworkers. He really likes it I’m happy I bought for him.Great knockoff of Ogio “Mach” series backpack. Seriously, can't believe a helmet fits in this. It has a lot of compartments for various items that you can fit it in, including a full-sized helmet! There is a slight issue where the backpack (when full) gets raised and sits on your neck instead of shoulders so be careful when riding a full backpack and not and not to fall on your neck! However, when backpack is nicely packed, it sits really well and makes me feel safer when riding. It's exactly what I was looking for because I can take my spare helmet with me when I pick up a passenger.[update Dec 2020: Still 5 stars. I can't prove it but I'm pretty sure it saved me from back injury after being hit and thrown off the bike. I landed on my head, then shoulder, then slid on my back. It stayed on and took the slide well. Saved my leather jacket a lot of damage for sure. I only had a water bladder inside and that one didn't take any damage at alI. I don't think it will protect a computer but small and/or soft items would have been fine. I will buy another one!] If you're looking for the name brand backpack but don't want to spend as much, buy this. Things you won't have are as follows: helmet strap, the net divider accessory, visor pouch, reflective piping on the front of the pack. The straps are less comfortable than the authentic one but these aren't bad. The strap adjusters could be better but they do stay in place. The smell that some reviews speak of: gone after a day of letting it air out. I use this almost every time i ride. I bought a 2L water pack for it and it fits nicely. I'm a very satisfied picky shopper.Very satisfied with the product! I'm using that backpack everyday for the ride to work; I'm cycling about 1 to 1,5 hrs. So far I've been using it in the rain and in the cold of an early Montreal winter and it is perfect. Good amount of space, good zippers...Es buena y práctica, los espacios muy bien.
