This umbrella is well made! The carrying case is especially nice, with thick fabric that makes it easy to re-insert the umbrella. The one-touch opening makes it very convenient. It’s a great size for 1, possibly 2 people if they huddle up. Great for travel. It’s heavier than the cheap ones you can buy at Walmart, and I think it will hold up for many years. I only gave it 4 stars for being lightweight because it is quite weighty. I travel a lot for my job and generally shred down to the bare bones to keep my bags as lightweight as possible. But I needed a good travel umbrella, so I’ll have to sacrifice something else to balance it out. GREAT PURCHASE!!!I generally hate umbrellas because they always fail when you most need them, but I after moving into a rainy city, I realized they are a must. After cycling through a few almost comical situations with cheaper models, I bought this one. I’m really happy with it. The storm canopy makes it easy to handle on windy situations. It is wide and dries very quickly. It also simply feels solid and well made.I’ve had three of these over the past decade and it would have Deb one if I had it lost the other two. Totally dependable, compact, and good looking and functioning. Spacious stuff sack. ONLY RECOMMENDATION: Replace the Velcro closure with a snap as it de sticks after a few yearsSturdy umbrella. Not at all flimsy like so many. Opens and closes easily. Well made sleeve doesn’t seem like it will fall apart with repeated storage. The vent flap on the umbrella does not allow water in, but it helps on windy days from turning umbrella inside out. Have used it in rain and sun. I do volunteer work that keeps me in the sun from 4-5 hours at a stretch, and I can really tell the difference in this sun-blocker fabric compared to a typical umbrella. I bought one in navy for myself and my husband to share but liked it so much that I bought a second in the red/burgundy. Spend the extra few bucks for this one if you’re teetering between it and a slightly cheaper one.Perfect productMy grandson is heading to Oxford University for 6 months and I wanted to send him with a decent umbrella that wasn't too large. I also like the sleeve for it. It has a handy quick release, which works effortlessly; BUT it’s difficult to close. Like, takes some elbow grease to push it all the way closed. And that’s…..annoying.
