I had a previous Gecko Brands bag that the zipper broke on after maybe 5 years of use. I decided to go for a backpack style because I now use a cane. The pockets are well placed, I like that there are water bottle pouches on the outsides as well as a small elastic pocket on one of the straps. The key clip is a nice touch.I bought this for my kindergartener last year and ordered another this year for my older child. My main reason is a simple one: it actually zips open wide enough for them to pack/unpack all their stuff. I can’t believe how narrowly some backpacks open and he had been having trouble getting his lunchbox out. Extremely durable, nice cushy straps and back for comfort. Should last for years.
