This is a great durable bag fits a lot of stuff in it however because I'm such a small lady it's just big and bulky on me if your average size I would say five six five seven five eight and up this would be an okay fit for you this would be better but because I'm only 5'1" it's huge on meUnlike typical cloth backpacks, this does not flap in the wind, and provides a streamline profile for the rider. Lots of pockets and expandable too, it is ideal for going to school, the store, or even an overnight.I wrote this review in mid July, originally giving it four stars, and commented that one seam had ripped (the top grip). Less than three weeks later, I'd give it one star. This thing is falling apart, as there are now ~8 seams coming undone. Now I would *definitely* say, don't buy this.My Original Review:I bought this to use while riding to and from work in place of my Osprey. It'll hold my laptop, a book or two, and an assortment of stuff that weighs in total ~15 lbs.It will NOT hold a 17" laptop that I use regularly for engineering. I have a courier backpack for that.It seems roomy, but you have to use the space carefully when you really fill it up.To help with organization and packing inside, I have most stuff organized into packets, zipper pouches or clam shells, because everything that's loose gets tossed into a jumble in the bottom of the pack. Computer cables and whatnot become a royal PITA in that case.Is it as good as my old AΩIO turtle shell? Heck no. But, at 1/4 the price (or more), it works very well for my needs.I haven't tried it in anything more than a mist, so cannot really comment on weather proof capability or not. If it's going to rain, I use my courier bag anyway. The hard shell is nice, and I have reflective markers on the shell (I'd rather be seen by zombie drivers than not and be road kill).Only negative so far - the lifting strap on top (not really a strap, but a fold) is useless. The seam split and frayed within the first week of use (see picture). Now I just use the shoulder straps to pick it up - they're more durable.Would I buy it again? Tough call. I'd shop around to see if something seemed more suitable. The backpack works well for my needs, a lot of customizable options with the straps, lots of compartments inside. Very comfortable padding against your back. Only complaint is that the bottom belt buckle strap may be too small for you if you are a slightly bigger guy, but can be easily detached from the backpack. Many reviews have complaints about stitching, but it seems well crafted to me. Overall a good buy.1. Comfort.... it's a back pack. It is Comfortable, once filled as long as it's done right it's Comfortable. 2. Looks, lots of compliments everyone wants to see if it's stiff like it looks 3. I think it would protect you a little bit definitely. The video shows how to put your helmet inside the backpack but this isn’t true, i couldn’t close the ziper no way near, other than that the item is just as you see in the pictures, im happy with my purchaseIt's NOT waterproof....1st time in rain and inside of bag was soakedNice design and quality, but there is no means for it to be a tailbag though, this is a backpack and that is all it'll ever be.You can't strap this to a sissy bar or to the seat or anything, all it has is backpack straps and a couple round the torso straps. I'm a bulkier guy and the bottom around the waist strap just fits me... if I got any fatter, it wouldn't go around me (size 38 pants)It has some subtle zippers that undo to make it accommodate quite large items, I wear a size 3XL full faced helmet and it fits it insidePros:Looks goodHolds a decent amount. Fairly comfortablyCons:I don't see how this can be setup to be used as a tail bagStrap stitching is flimsyStraps are a little too short, especially if you ride with a jacketVelcro is weakComes with a bunch of pockets and compartments to put stuff inside, has a nice look in the outside and it's a third of the price of other that I saw from a big motorcycle company, definitely worth itMy son loves this bag.
